Mika Singh Calls for Stronger Security After Firing Incident Involving Tiger Shroff in Mumbai

The singer has urged authorities to ensure public safety and accountability after gunfire in Juhu left the actor’s driver and a bystander injured.

Mumbai-  Singer Mika Singh has expressed concern over public safety in Mumbai following a shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in the Juhu area and called on the government to take firm action against those responsible.

In a video shared on Instagram, Mika recalled arriving in Mumbai in the early 2000s and viewing the city as one of the safest places in the country. He said the incident had raised serious questions about the security of residents and urged authorities to prevent such violence from recurring.

The singer also wished Shroff a speedy recovery and emphasised that people should be able to move around their own city without fear.

In his accompanying message, Mika highlighted Mumbai’s reputation for allowing residents, particularly women, to travel and work with confidence, including during late hours. He called for stronger enforcement and accountability to preserve that sense of security.

Shooting in Juhu Raises Security Concerns

The incident took place on Sunday evening, October 18, when three unidentified men allegedly opened fire in the Juhu area. Shroff escaped bullet injuries, but his driver and a bystander were reportedly injured during the incident.

The shooting prompted renewed concerns about threats and violence involving personalities from the film industry, as well as the safety of people in the surrounding neighbourhood.

According to reports, social media posts attributed to individuals identified as associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack. The posts also allegedly issued warnings to members of the Mumbai film industry over their professional associations with actor Salman Khan.

The claims form part of the ongoing investigation and should be distinguished from findings established by law enforcement authorities.

Suspects Detained as Investigation Continues

Police reportedly detained three suspects at Kota railway station in Rajasthan on Monday morning while they were travelling on a train from Mumbai towards Delhi. Preliminary questioning suggested that the individuals intended to travel onwards to Nepal, according to police statements reported by the media.

Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam said initial questioning indicated that one suspect worked as a delivery rider, while the other two were labourers in Sonipat. One of the three was reported to be a minor.

Investigators are expected to establish the alleged roles of the suspects, examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and verify claims made on social media. The individuals’ alleged involvement remains subject to the investigation and due legal process.

Calls for Accountability and Public Protection

Mika Singh’s response has brought the discussion beyond the immediate incident to the broader question of public security. His appeal focused on the responsibility of authorities to protect ordinary residents alongside high-profile individuals.

The shooting has also drawn attention to concerns over threats directed at members of the entertainment industry. Ensuring a thorough investigation, establishing accountability and addressing potential security vulnerabilities will be important as the case progresses.

For Mumbai residents, the central concern remains the need for a safe environment in which people can work, travel and participate in public life without intimidation or violence.
