2,458 complaints resolved during weekly Thana Divas–Jansunwai held across all 15 districts

Senior officers interact directly with citizens and issue directions for timely grievance redressal

NEW DELHI : Delhi Police conducted its weekly Thana Divas–Jansunwai programme on Saturday across police stations in all 15 police districts of Delhi. During the latest round of public hearings, 2,458 complaints were resolved. Senior officers, from Jt. CPs to ACPs attended the sessions, listened to citizens concerns and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers for prompt action and effective follow-up.

The initiative provides citizens with a direct platform to raise complaints, share concerns and offer suggestions before senior police officers. The grievances received during the hearings were examined and appropriate instructions were issued to ensure timely redressal.

Alongside addressing public grievances, Delhi Police continues to maintain law and order across the capital during the ongoing festive season. Police personnel remain deployed to manage public gatherings, regulate movement and ensure security at markets and other high-footfall areas.

Launched in June 2026 on the directions of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Thana Divas–Jansunwai initiative is being implemented under the leadership of Sh. Anurag Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. Through this initiative, citizens can meet police officers and present their grievances every Saturday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
