Chhattisgarh Power Generation MD SK Katiyar’s Tenure Extended Till March 2027
State government extends MD SK Katiyar’s term amid key gains in power plant performance and modernisation work
The Impressive TimesRaipur: The Chhattisgarh government has extended the tenure of Sanjeev Kumar Katiyar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company, up to March 31, 2027. The extension was announced through an order issued by the Energy Department.
Among SK Katiyar’s key achievements is the increase in the Plant Load Factor (PLF) of ABVTPP Marwa from 49 per cent to 84.4 per cent during the financial year 2023-24. As a result, the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company secured the first position among 33 state power generation corporations, according to the release.
The renovation of the complex station control and instrumentation system at the Korba West Thermal Power Plant was also completed in 46 days.
SK Katiyar is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, a certified energy auditor and holds a diploma in management. His working approach includes providing clear directions, motivating teams and empowering officers and employees to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
