Greater Noida Authority Allots 58 Abadi Plots to 39 Saini Farmers
18 plots allotted through draw, 40 others directly allocated to eligible farmers
The Impressive TimesGreater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority allotted 58 six per cent abadi plots to 39 farmers of Saini village on Wednesday. In the presence of the farmers, a draw was conducted for 18 plots of equal size at the Greater Noida Authority boardroom under the chairmanship of OSD Gunja Singh.
The 18 plots covered 17 farmers, while the remaining 40 plots were of different sizes and therefore did not require a draw. The Greater Noida Authority directly allotted these plots in the names of the eligible farmers.
The six per cent residential plots had been pending for a long period following the acquisition of land belonging to Saini farmers. Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG had directed the concerned officials to expedite the allotment of the abadi plots. The Planning Department and the Six Per Cent Abadi Plot Department subsequently completed the allotment process.
Greater Noida Authority OSD Gunja Singh said allotting six per cent residential plots to farmers was the authority’s top priority. She said eligible farmers from other villages would also be allotted abadi plots at the earliest.
During the draw, Planning Department General Manager-in-charge Sudhir Kumar, Managers Pramod Kumar and Kapil Tongad and other officials were present.
