Teachers Are the Real Nation Builders, Says Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar
Minister attends Bihar Kesari Samman and cultural programme organised by Sargam Kala Evam Samaj Kalyan Manch in Kankarbagh Colony on the eve of Teachers’ Day
The Impressive TimesPatna: Bihar Rural Development Minister and JD(U) Legislature Party leader Shravan Kumar said teachers are the true builders of the nation and that honouring them is among the highest forms of respect.
Speaking at the Bihar Kesari Samman and cultural programme organised by Sargam Kala Evam Samaj Kalyan Manch in Kankarbagh Colony on the eve of Teachers’ Day, Kumar highlighted Bihar’s long-standing contribution to education and scholarship.
He said institutions such as Nalanda and Vikramshila had spread the light of knowledge across the world. Referring to scholars such as Acharya Chanakya and Aryabhata, he said Bihar had produced generations of great teachers and intellectuals who placed education at the highest level.
Shravan Kumar also honoured senior JD(U) leader Pankaj Patel, noted Patna physician Dr Divakar Tejaswi, organisation president Vishwa Mohan Chaudhary, programme coordinator Rishabh Rathore, veteran theatre personality Alok Chopra, and artists Shabnam Parveen, Simran Kumari, Sunita Ranjan and Aliza Bano, among other dignitaries, for their contributions.
