Faridabad Police conducts Coordination Meeting on NCB National Roadmap for Narcotics Control

Faridabad: As part of the nationwide campaign against drug abuse and trafficking and in accordance with the special campaign schedule prescribed by the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB) for the year 2026-27, a coordination meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Rajesh Kumar Mohan. The meeting was attended by all ACsP Crime, all Crime Branch In-charges and the Coordinator of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

The meeting focused on inter-agency consultation and preparedness, including better coordination among various agencies, sharing of intelligence and information, and necessary preparations for the effective implementation of the National Roadmap. Faridabad Police is maintaining continuous coordination with the concerned agencies to strengthen the campaign against drug trafficking.

DCP Crime Rajesh Kumar Mohan stated that under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Satendra Kumar Gupta, Faridabad Police has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards the illegal drug trade and has taken extensive action during the year 2026. So far this year, 334 cases under the NDPS Act have been registered and 446 accused have been arrested, including 106 suppliers/sources.

During these operations, police have recovered 276.876 kg ganja, 560.85 grams smack, 1.076 kg charas, 272.66 grams sulfa, 3.17 grams cocaine, 2.219 kg opium and 17.11 grams MDMA. In addition, 582 injections, 1,677 capsules, 11,454 narcotic tablets, 200 ml syrup and 23 MTP kits have also been recovered.

He further stated that special focus has been laid on cases involving commercial quantities of narcotic substances to effectively target organised drug syndicates. Under this category, 14 cases have been registered and 33 accused have been arrested, including 19 suppliers.

In these cases, police have recovered 94.065 kg ganja, 272 grams smack, 1.076 kg charas and 11.01 grams MDMA, along with 386 injections, 1,645 capsules and 10,816 narcotic tablets.

Crime Branch teams conducted 4 special raids at identified drug hotspots and suspicious locations based on technical inputs and credible intelligence. Taking action against the financial infrastructure of drug offenders, Faridabad Police, after following due legal procedure, demolished 9 properties/illegal constructions associated with drug offenders. These include the house and shop measuring 60 square feet each belonging to Najrana alias Mallo, wife of Jakir, and Sahil, son of Jakir, residents of Nehru Colony, along with properties belonging to Rajender, Suraj, Vipin alias Bipin, Dinesh alias Monu, Laxman, Salim and Rajuddin alias Bolar. All the accused have multiple cases registered against them under the NDPS Act, DCP said.

Faridabad Police is focusing not only on arresting drug peddlers but also on taking action against suppliers, organised drug networks and the financial resources linked to the illegal drug trade. The police have made it clear that no person involved in drug trafficking will be spared. Strict legal action will continue against drug traffickers, suppliers, organised gangs and those involved in illegal activities facilitating the drug trade.

Faridabad Police appeals to the general public to share credible information regarding the sale, supply or trafficking of narcotic substances with the police. The identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
