Lisbon, August 17, 2026; Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have married in a private ceremony at their Portugal home, choosing to celebrate the occasion with their children before hosting a larger gathering for family and friends.
The couple reportedly exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in Cascais on August 11. Details of the wedding were later revealed in an interview with Vogue, where Rodriguez explained that the couple deliberately chose a setting that was closely connected to their everyday family life.
Rather than selecting a grand venue, Ronaldo and Rodriguez held the ceremony in the living room of their home, with their five children present. The couple wanted the occasion to remain personal and centred on their family.
Rodriguez said the decision represented a change from the elaborate wedding she had imagined as a child. Despite having access to luxury homes, cars, islands and other lavish experiences, she said an intimate celebration with Ronaldo and their children felt more special.
The wedding also carried personal significance for the couple as it coincided with the 10th anniversary of their relationship. Ronaldo and Rodriguez first met at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriguez was working at the time.
For the ceremony, Rodriguez wore a white silk skirt suit paired with satin shoes, while Ronaldo opted for a light beige suit and customised loafers. Their children were also dressed in coordinated neutral-toned outfits.
Ronaldo had earlier fuelled speculation about their marriage by posting a photograph showing the couple wearing wedding rings, alongside the initials “CG” and a red heart.
The couple are now expected to organise a larger celebration at a later stage, allowing their wider circle of loved ones to join them in marking their marriage.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together for several years and share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Their family has also experienced the loss of their son Angel, who died during childbirth in 2022.
