New Delhi, March 30, 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has started the application process for its postgraduate programmes including MTech, MSc and MA for the academic session 2026 to 2027.
The online registration process began on March 28 and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official admission portal. The last date to apply for these programmes is April 27, 2026.
Admissions to the MTech programmes will primarily be based on valid GATE scores, while MSc admissions are conducted through the JAM examination. MA programme admissions are also offered in select disciplines, expanding opportunities for students beyond engineering streams.
Applicants are required to complete the online form, upload necessary academic documents, and follow the institute’s admission guidelines available on the official website. The selection process may include shortlisting based on entrance scores followed by further evaluation as per programme requirements.
