Ahmedabad, March 8: The India national cricket team posted a massive total in the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, riding on explosive half-centuries from their top-order batsmen.

Openers Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma gave India a blistering start, both scoring quick-fire fifties to put the opposition under pressure early in the innings. Abhishek Sharma was eventually dismissed in the eighth over after a rapid knock.

Batting at number three, Ishan Kishan continued the attacking approach and brought up his half-century in just 23 deliveries, keeping the run rate high.

For the New Zealand national cricket team, Rachin Ravindra was the only bowler to claim a wicket during India’s dominant batting performance.

India’s aggressive batting display has put them in a strong position in the title clash.
