All-Women Bike Rally Held in Delhi on International Women’s Day
The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, March 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, flagged off the All-Women Bike Rally 2026 organized by Navbharat Times at Connaught Place.
Extending his greetings to citizens on the occasion, Birla emphasized that women play a crucial role in nation-building. He said that from the freedom movement to the rebuilding of modern India, women have consistently provided strong leadership in various fields.
He further noted that today women are taking leadership roles from panchayats to Parliament and are becoming a strong pillar of the country’s development. According to him, women in India are second to none and continue to set new milestones across sectors.
Praising the initiative by Navbharat Times, Birla said the rally sends a powerful message of women’s empowerment, confidence, and safety. He added that the publication has been actively running awareness campaigns aimed at promoting positive social change.
Rekha Gupta also attended the event and appreciated the courage and leadership of women participating in the rally.
Hundreds of women riders took part in the bike rally, spreading the message of a strong, safe, and confident India.
