Faridabad, March 16, 2024 – Homerton Grammar School’s Sector 21A campus was brimming with anticipation and jubilation today as young learners marked their transition to Grade 1 during the Annual Kindergarten Convocation Ceremony, ‘Udaan’. The event, graced by esteemed dignitaries and school officials, celebrated the achievements and growth of the students under the nurturing care of the institution.
Presided over by the Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Dhaiya, District Education Officer of Faridabad, the ceremony was attended by a distinguished panel including Managing Director Mr. Rajtheep Singh, Director Academics Ms. Susan Kaur, Director Communication & PR Ms. Prerna B. Singh, Principal Mr. A.K Saxena, Head Mistress Ms. Nandita Karayi, and School Administrator Ms. Archana Dogra.
The day commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the esteemed management, followed by a warm welcome note from the kindergarten students. Principal Mr. A.K Saxena extended gratitude to all attendees for their presence and support.
The event unfolded with captivating cultural performances, including dance and narrations, by the students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery & KG, echoing the theme of ‘Flashback 2023’. These performances showcased the talent and creativity nurtured within the school’s vibrant learning environment.
Head Mistress Ms. Nandita Karayi seized the opportunity to reinvent the new Early Years Programme to parents, articulating the school’s vision for the growth and development of young learners, aligned with the National Education Policy.
The programme aims to foster holistic development from the tender age of 2, guiding students through stages of exploration, adventure, and achievement, alongside unveiling of the early year mascots – by Chief Guest Smt. Asha Dhaiya, Managing Director Mr. Rajtheep Singh, and Head Mistress Ms. Nandita Karayi, symbolizing the spirit of exploration and excellence embodied by the school’s ethos.
The much-awaited graduation ceremony of the KG students was marked by the presentation of graduating shields by members of the management, signifying their readiness to embark on the next phase of their academic journey.
In his closing, Managing Director Mr. Rajtheep Singh urged parents to emphasize acknowledging and praising children’s efforts, fostering a mindset of lifelong learning. He emphasized that for students school should not just be a place for just imparting education but it should be treated as a temple of learning..
