Farmers to Access Complete Land Data with One Click Through Agri Stack: Palwal DC Dr. Harish Kumar Vashishth

Digital farmer ID to ease access to government schemes; pilot camps to begin in two villages per tehsil daily in Palwal

Palwal: Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar Vashishth said that under the Agri Stack initiative, farmers will be able to access complete land-related data with a single click, making farmer registration essential. He informed that patwaris and assistants have already been trained by master trainers for the implementation of the project. He said the Agri Stack project is being rolled out across all villages in the district under the Central Government’s Digital Agriculture Mission. Camps will be organized in villages to create unique Farmer IDs. Under the pilot project, camps will be held daily in two villages from each of the district’s three tehsils in the first phase. Villages have been identified by the district administration to ensure smooth implementation, and farmer registry data will be verified within three to ten days. DC said the Agri Stack scheme will provide farmers with a digital identity, making access to government schemes easier. Benefits of schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, and other agriculture department schemes will be linked to the Farmer ID. For registration, farmers will need Aadhaar, an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and the latest jamabandi (land record). Explaining the importance of farmer registry, he said it is an initiative of the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare. Under the project, farmers’ demographic details, agricultural land records, GPS coordinates, and crop information will be digitally stored, and each farmer will be issued an 11-digit unique Farmer ID. Highlighting the benefits, the Deputy Commissioner said farmers will get easy access to government schemes without additional documentation, direct benefit transfers under PM-Kisan and other schemes, faster crop purchase at Minimum Support Price, crop insurance benefits, expert advisory services based on soil and climate, and simplified access to loans through the Kisan Credit Card. He further said that under the Digital Agriculture Mission, the Agri Stack DPI is being developed in coordination with states as an open-source, interoperable, and open-API-based system to enable secure, verified, and consent-based data sharing. Village-level digital mapping will also be carried out, for which patwaris have been assigned duties. The Revenue Department will be the main implementing agency, while the Director of Agriculture will act as the nodal officer. Deputy Director of Agriculture, Palwal, Dr. Babu Lal said that only registered farmers under the Digital Agriculture Mission will be eligible for benefits under PM-Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, state DBT schemes, and other agriculture-related programs. Crop sowing registry will also be maintained to create real-time digital records of cultivated areas, ensuring spatial accuracy. The project will begin with the selection of two villages from each tehsil and will later be expanded to cover all villages in the district.
