Kerala, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Bengal Register Wins on Day 4 of Junior Men’s Hockey Nationals

Jalandhar, August 15, 2025 – Day 4 of the 15th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship witnessed an exciting mix of dominant wins and high-scoring draws across Division ‘C’ and Division ‘B’ fixtures.

In Division ‘C’, Kerala Hockey outplayed Le Puducherry Hockey 7-3, with goals from captain Muhammed Kaif, Abhinandh P S, Kolnati Sai Ram, Anish Minz, Adhul Shan Peruvankuzhiyil, Akshay Anil, and Abhishek Yadav. Le Puducherry’s Anbupathi struck a hat-trick in reply.

Telangana Hockey recorded a commanding 8-2 win over Tripura Hockey, led by braces from Manoj Aggu and Pradeep Kodapa. Captain Ganesh Ravula, Megavath Bhaskar, Banavath Nithin, and Rahul Choudhary added one goal each, while Tripura’s Govinda Roy scored both of his side’s goals.

Chhattisgarh Hockey dominated Hockey Raj. with a 6-1 victory, driven by Mohit Nayak’s five-goal performance. Avinash Ekka also scored for Chhattisgarh, while Anshul netted the lone goal for Hockey Raj.

In a nail-biting contest, Hockey Gujarat and Goans Hockey ended 5-5. Goans’ Govind Yadav scored a hat-trick, supported by Tushar Sharma’s brace. Gujarat’s goals came from captain Mayank Sanas, Mayankkumar Halpati, Yash Tandel, Prathambhai Patel, and Bhavya Patel.

In Division ‘B’, Delhi edged out the Hockey Association of Bihar 3-2, thanks to a brace from Yuvraj Singh and a goal from captain Naitik Rana. Nandlal Shah and captain Amrendra Kumar Singh scored for Bihar.

Closing the day, Hockey Bengal crushed Assam Hockey 8-2, powered by a four-goal haul from Karan Shaw. Rohit Kujur, Ayush Prasad, Bishnu Paswan, and Joydeep Singh also found the net for Bengal, while Suraj Thakur and Ritik Patir scored for Assam.

The championship will continue tomorrow with more crucial league-stage encounters.
