FIA wins over DC XI with outstanding performance

Faridabad: In a thrilling clash at Sector-88 SledgeHammer Cricket Academy, DC XI faced off against FIA’s cricket team. DC XI, led by captain Vikram Singh Yadav, won the toss and opted to bat first. Despite losing five wickets in 20 overs, they managed to set a challenging target of 165 runs. Sahil and Vikram Singh Yadav kicked off the innings, with Sahil scoring 10 runs off 15 balls before being out by Kuldeep Adhana. Vikram Singh Yadav played a crucial inning of 23 runs in 17 balls. He was out after giving his catch to Kuldeep Adhana on the ball of Praveen Mohanty. After the openers, Karna and Yashpal Yadav IAS took charge. Karna was out after scoring 19 runs in 29 balls while Yashpal playing a stellar innings of 60 runs off 38 balls, retiring hurt. Following their contributions, Narendra Yadav and Dr. Rajesh-82 IRS came in to bat, scoring 10 and 10 runs, respectively. Abhishek and Devendra contributed two and one run(s), respectively, before getting out. The DC XI team managed to add 30 extra runs to their innings. In response, FIA’s showcased stellar performances with Ajay Juneja taking 3 overs for 29, Dushyant contributing with 2 overs for 20, and Praveen Mohanti securing one over with 6 runs and a wicket.

Kuldeep Adhana delivered an impressive performance, taking 2 wickets for 13 runs in 3 overs, while Pradeep Mohanti bagged one wicket, conceding 32 runs in four overs. Avinash Bhatia claim one wicket for 16 runs in 2 overs. Praveen Mohanti and Pradeep Mohanti led the batting for FIA. Praveen played a brilliant inning of 53 runs off 34 balls before being out by Dalchand Yadav. Pradeep Mohanti stole the spotlight with a remarkable 77 runs off 56 balls, ultimately retiring hurt. Ajay Juneja, with 5 runs in 12 balls, and Paritosh Manocha, scoring 7 runs in 7 balls, also contributed to FIA’s total. In the end, FIA secured victory, scoring 168 runs for the loss of one wicket in 18.1 overs, winning the match by nine wickets. DC XI , in response, faced a formidable FIA bowling attack.
