The Impressive TimesGulab Chand Kataria took the oath today as the new Governor of Punjab and Chandigarh Administrator at Punjab Raj Bhavan. The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Sheel Nagu, administered the oath. Kataria is the 30th Governor of Punjab, succeeding Banwarilal Purohit.
The swearing-in ceremony was notable for the presence of several dignitaries, including Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, various state ministers, MLAs, and senior officials from both Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
