Indian boxers, archers, shuttlers, and shooters will compete today at the Paris Olympics 2024

On day five of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Indian boxers, archers, badminton players, and shooters will be in action. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, a bronze medalist from Tokyo, will begin her campaign against Sunniva Hofstad of Norway. In shooting, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar will compete in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Qualification event. Shreyasi Singh and Rajeshwari Kumari, who both scored 68 points on the first day of the women’s trap shooting qualification, will return to action for the second day of the qualification round. Anush Agarwalla will participate in the equestrian dressage individual round.

In the Men’s Singles group stage of badminton, Lakshya Sen will face Jonatan Christie of Indonesia, while HS Prannoy will compete against Duch Phat Lee of Vietnam. In the Women’s Singles group stage, PV Sindhu will take on Kristin Kuuba of Estonia. In table tennis, Sreeja Akula will play against Jian Zeng of Singapore in the Women’s Singles round of 32. In archery, Tarundeep Rai and Deepika Kumari will participate in the men’s and women’s 1/32 elimination rounds respectively.

In the women’s 54kg round of 16 boxing match, Preeti Pawar lost to Yeni Arias of Colombia in a 3:2 split decision early this morning. So far, India has won two medals, both bronze in shooting. Manu Bhaker won a historic bronze in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event and then teamed up with Sarabjot Singh to win bronze in the mixed team event.
