Railways Safety in the Monsoon season in focus at the Review Meeting; Railway Employees Honored for Outstanding Work in Safety.

Jaipur , 16 July, 2024 : A safety and work review meeting of North Western Railway was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Amitabh, General Manager of North Western Railway, at the head office in Jaipur. The heads of all departments were present at the meeting. Divisional Railway Managers of all four divisions joined via video conference. The discussion focused on the topics of safe and secure rail operations during the monsoon season. During the meeting, the General Manager also awarded railway employees who performed outstandingly in safety on the North Western Railway.

Captain Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway told The Imoressive Times that the General Manager, Mr. Amitabh, emphasized regular monitoring and continuous patrolling of railway tracks for smooth and safe rail operations during the monsoon season. A detailed discussion was held on the safety action plan, and progress on the construction of road overbridges and road underbridges was reviewed.


Mr. Amitabh also stressed the importance of promptly informing passengers about rail traffic affected by station redevelopment works and rains. He emphasized the need to prevent unauthorized entry into railway tracks and premises, especially incidents of people coming onto the tracks for making reels. He directed the Railway Protection Force department to develop a special action plan. The June e-bulletin of North Western Railway’s activities was also presented at the meeting.

The General Manager, Mr. Amitabh, awarded railway employees for their outstanding work in safety. Mr. Kamal Singh Gurjar, Loco Pilot; Mr. Deep Ram Meena, Assistant Loco Pilot; and Mr. Dhara Singh, Chief Loco Inspector, Bandikui, were awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes for their excellent work in safety. These employees demonstrated vigilance during duty and prevented potential accidents.
