Shourya Samman Yatra Salutes Heroes of Operation Sindoor in Delhi

New Delhi : To honour the extraordinary courage and achievements of India’s Armed Forces following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a patriotic Tiranga Yatra titled ‘Shourya Samman Yatra’ was held in the national capital today. The event began at Kartavya Path and culminated at the National War Memorial at India Gate, symbolizing the nation’s gratitude to its brave soldiers.

Organised by the Citizens of National Security, the Yatra saw participation from a wide cross-section of society, including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, senior ministers from the Delhi government, Members of Parliament, and BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh. A large number of citizens, ex-servicemen, youth, and social organisations joined in, waving the tricolour with pride and raising slogans in praise of the Armed Forces.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the successful execution of Operation Sindoor stands as a proud moment for every Indian. “This Yatra is a tribute to our soldiers and a reflection of the nation’s collective pride in our military’s valour and precision,” she said.

Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma echoed the sentiment, stating, “The massive public turnout in support of our armed forces reflects India’s unity and resolve. Let it be clear—India will respond decisively to any aggression from Pakistan.”

Member of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj described Operation Sindoor as “a new chapter in India’s assertive stance against terrorism,” and a symbol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s New India. She reiterated the Prime Minister’s firm stance that “terror and dialogue cannot go together.”

Our correspondent reports that the event marks the beginning of an 11-day nationwide outreach campaign dedicated to Operation Sindoor, commonly known as the Tiranga Yatra. The campaign, running until the 23rd of this month, seeks to raise public awareness of India’s strategic and successful strikes on terror camps across the border, including those in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The campaign includes marches, public addresses, and tribute ceremonies across various states. Ex-servicemen, social activists, and BJP leaders will play a key role in highlighting the bravery and professionalism of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor.
