Balrampur, April 4 ,2025 : Balrampur, a key aspirational district in Uttar Pradesh, is witnessing unprecedented development under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Three major projects have been prioritized, marking a significant boost for the district’s infrastructure and tourism.
A cornerstone of the district’s growth is the construction of the Maa Pateshwari Devipatan Dham Corridor, a project aimed at enhancing the spiritual and cultural significance of the shrine. This development is part of the broader tourism plan, with ₹5 crore already released as the first installment for land acquisition. The total cost for land acquisition amounts to over ₹26.48 crore, with land to be acquired from 119 landholders. The SDM of Tulsipur confirmed that agreements have been made with all landowners, and sale deeds are being executed.
In addition to the corridor project, the government has approved the construction of a two-lane Railway Overbridge (ROB) between Kalash Chauraha and Haraiya Chauraha. This crucial infrastructure will improve traffic flow, particularly benefiting devotees and daily commuters. An amount of ₹34.89 crore has already been disbursed to Setu Nigam Barabanki for the project, ensuring that work begins in the fiscal year 2024–25.
To further improve connectivity, a 5.225 km stretch of road from Maa Pateshwari Devi Temple’s main gate to Balrampur Sugar Mill will be widened and strengthened. The ₹51.33 crore project has already received administrative approval, with ₹2.52 crore allocated for the initial phase.
These projects reflect Balrampur’s transformation into a model district of development, in line with CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision of inclusive growth.
