Kanpur arson case : SP MLA Irfan Solanki was sentenced to seven years in prison and will lose his Assembly seat

Irfan Solanki, a Samajwadi Party MLA from Uttar Pradesh, was found guilty of arson in the Jajmau region of Kanpur and was given a seven-year prison sentence. This ruling was issued by the Kanpur MP-MLA court. Three other individuals were also named in the investigation against Solanki, including his brother Rizwan Solanki, who has since received a term. The leader of the Samajwadi Party is charged of lighting a widpw’s Jajmau home on fire in November 2022. The information states that they have each been fined Rs 2,000.
