Curfew has been imposed in Manipur’s Jiribam following protests over the murder of a person, causing tension in the area

More than 200 people have been relocated to relief camps in Manipur’s Jiribam following the imposition of curfew in the district. This move comes a day after protests erupted over the killing of a 59-year-old man by suspected militants. Additionally, the houses of individuals staying in the relief camp at Jiri Sports Complex were reportedly burnt in outlying villages such as Lamtai Khunou, Dibong Khunou, Nunkhal, and Begra by suspected militants. The situation in the area remains tense.
