T20 World Cup: South Africa Beat Bangladesh By 4 Runs In New York

In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket, South Africa secured a narrow victory over Bangladesh, winning by four runs at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, US last night.

Choosing to bat first, South Africa posted a total of 113 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer for the Proteas with 46 runs from 44 balls. Tanzim Hasan Sakib was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, claiming three wickets.

In pursuit of the target of 114, Bangladesh managed to reach 109 for seven in their 20 overs. They needed 11 runs from the final over, but Keshav Maharaj’s bowling restricted them, leading them to fall just 4 runs short of victory.

Maharaj played a crucial role, taking three wickets, while Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada also contributed with two wickets each.

In today’s fixture, Pakistan will face Canada at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Pakistan is aiming for their first victory in the tournament after facing defeats against arch-rivals India and newcomers, the USA, in their previous matches. Meanwhile, Canada enters the match with confidence following their 12-run win against Ireland in their last outing.
