YEIDA CEO Rakesh Singh spearheads demolition drive, recovers encroached land worth Rs.2,500 crore

With DM Medha Roopam’s supervision, over 250 bighas of illegal colonies cleared in Jhajhar and Kakod villages of Bulandshahr district

In a major action against illegal encroachments, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) conducted a large-scale demolition drive on 16 September 2025 in its notified area. Acting on strict directions from YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh and under the guidance of District Magistrate Gautam Buddh Nagar Medha Roopam, the operation was led by Special Officer Shailendra Kumar Singh in Jhajhar and Kakod villages of Bulandshahr district.

During the drive, about 250 bighas of notified land valued at around Rs.2,500 crore was freed from illegal possession. Several unauthorized colonies, including Aeronest Colonizer in Jhajhar, Radha Gauri Enclave in Kakod, and Rudra Properties in Kakod, were demolished. CEO Rakesh Singh stated that YEIDA will continue its campaign against illegal encroachments and urged innocent buyers to stay alert from such fraudulent property dealers.

The operation saw the presence of YEIDA Deputy Collector Shiv Avatar Singh, Special Officers Ajay Kumar Sharma, Abhishek Shahi, and Krishna Gopal Tripathi, along with officials and staff from Bulandshahr district administration, police department, and YEIDA’s project and land records teams.
