Well-Being Fair Organized on the Third Day of the International Conference; Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kaushik Inaugurated the Event

Gurugram University's Unique Initiative for Mental Health – Well-Being Fair Adorned with 21 Stalls

Gurugram, February 24 -On the third day of the four-day International Mental Health Confluence organized by the Psychology Department of Gurugram University, a grand Well-Being Fair was held. The program was inaugurated by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, by cutting the ribbon.

A total of 21 stalls related to physical and mental health were set up at the fair, providing information on various health services, counseling facilities, and awareness activities. Under the ‘Mano Sukoon Clinic’, free and expert counseling was provided to patients related to mental health, which benefited a large number of people.

Students from the Psychology Department showcased their creative talent by setting up various food and beverage stalls, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for the event. Additionally, the street plays (nukkad natak) presented by the students effectively conveyed a powerful message to raise awareness about mental health in society.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, in his address, stated that in today’s competitive and technological era, maintaining mental balance is extremely essential. Such events are important steps toward making society aware. He further said that initiatives like the ‘Mano Sukoon Clinic’ reflect the university’s social responsibility and are working toward making students and society sensitive and aware about mental health.

He mentioned that events like the Well-Being Fair help develop leadership, sensitivity, and a sense of social concern among students.
Program convener Dr. Gayatri Raina informed that on the third day of the conference, a Reel and Short Film Competition was also organized. In this, approximately 120 students from Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, as well as the Psychology and Media Departments of Gurugram University, participated enthusiastically and showcased their creative talent.
She added that the results of the competitions will be announced the next day, and the winners will be honored.
