New Delhi, 11 July 2025 –The Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vijender Gupta, today inaugurated the 8th edition of the International Health & Wellness Expo 2025 along with the 15th Arogya Sangosthi Integrated Seminar at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Organized by the Namo Gange Trust, this three-day event, from 11th to 13th July 2025, brings together leading experts, practitioners, institutions, and stakeholders in the fields of health, wellness, AYUSH, organic agriculture, fitness, nutrition, and holistic living from India and around the world.
Delivering the inaugural address as Chief Guest, Vijender Gupta underscored the vital importance of integrating India’s traditional systems of medicine and wellness with modern scientific approaches to build a healthier and more resilient society.
Speaker Gupta highlighted that India’s indigenous medical systems — including naturopathy, Ayurveda, and other holistic practices — are not merely cures for diseases but complete ways to sustain good health, enrich life’s purpose, and cultivate joy, positivity, and enthusiasm. He stressed that the more people live close to nature and use its resources mindfully, the stronger their bodies, minds, and character become. “If one truly wishes to witness the divine, one must first embrace nature,” he remarked.
Speaker congratulated the Namo Gange Trust for its consistent dedication to organizing such meaningful initiatives and praised the Ministry of AYUSH for its decade-long partnership with the Trust to advance India’s wellness heritage. Drawing a clear distinction between yoga and mere physical exercise, he stated that “Yoga is a profound way of life rooted in India’s civilizational wisdom — far beyond just physical movement.” He also reminded everyone, with a touch of humour, that caring for one’s body should never reach a point where it resembles repairing a motorcycle, but should instead be guided by mindful, preventive care and healthy living.
After the inaugural session, Gupta toured the extensive exhibition, which features diverse pavilions covering AYUSH systems, nutrition, organic farming, herbal and wellness products, fitness equipment, bio-energy and bio-medicine innovations, eco-friendly lifestyle goods, spiritual healing, academic research, hospitals, diagnostic technologies, and more. The Expo offers a valuable platform for industry leaders and the public to explore sustainable solutions for community wellness and holistic living.
