Social Welfare Minister participates in Yoga practice at Bawana Stadium on International Yoga Day

Let us pledge to make Delhi healthy and drug-free: Ravinder Indraj

New Delhi : 21 June 2025 – On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Minister for Social Welfare, SC/ST/OBC Welfare, Elections, and Cooperation Ravinder Indraj Singh participated in a grand yoga session with Delhi residents at Bawana Stadium on Saturday. Shri Ravinder Indraj stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the entire world today is celebrating International Yoga Day as part of India’s global initiative. Yoga not only unites the body, mind, and soul but also strengthens the vision of One Earth, One Health.

The Social Welfare Minister said that yoga not only keeps us healthy but also protects us from physical, mental, and financial distress. A person who practices yoga regularly does not remain dependent on medicines and hospitals. Moreover, yoga has given Indians global recognition and employment opportunities.

Ravinder Indraj further stated that yoga instills discipline, balance, and positivity in a person. It helps prevent drug addiction, depression, and other social evils, which is why the entire world has embraced it. Appealing for a drug-free Delhi, he emphasized that distancing the new generation from substance abuse is essential to build a healthy, self-reliant, and empowered Delhi. The state government is actively working in this direction with public and media cooperation.
