The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, 16 April , 2024 – Shri Ajay Chaudhry Spl.CP/SPUWAC convened a meeting with the representatives of NGOs working on human trafficking especially at Red Light areas on 16.04.2024 at Police Headquarters, Delhi. The meeting was also attended by Jt. CP/SPUWAC, DCP/SPUWAC, ACsP/Inspectors of SPUWAC unit. The representatives of various NGOs shared their experiences, grievances and suggestions in the meeting. Many useful and important discussions were carried out during the meeting regarding the rescue of victims from the brothel or illegal captive areas. The representatives also apprised that Delhi Police works jointly with them for rescue of girls who were trapped during human trafficking. Shri Ajay Chaudhry emphasized that representatives of NGOs to come forward with such issues on priority and Delhi Police will strive its best to cooperate with NGOs for reuniting the victims to their families. He ensured the NGOs that local police will cooperate in such cases on priority and will provide adequate staff to cope with such incidents to prevent crime.
