BJP Protests Against Pakistan at High Commission After Pahalgam Tragedy

New Delhi : Leaders and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today staged a protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, expressing outrage over the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people dead and dozens injured. The demonstration comes amid heightened tensions and a wave of public anger across the country.

Holding placards and chanting slogans against Pakistan, the BJP protesters demanded accountability and action, condemning Islamabad’s alleged continued support for cross-border terrorism. The protest, held under tight security, saw a large gathering of party workers, youth wings, and senior leaders.

Speaking to the media, BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay said, “There is deep anger in the hearts of Indians. This cowardly act has shocked the entire nation. We demand strong diplomatic and military responses. Pakistan cannot be allowed to get away with such repeated violations.” He added that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the Indian armed forces, will deliver a “befitting reply” to those responsible for the bloodshed.

Several other BJP leaders present at the protest echoed similar sentiments, calling the Pahalgam attack not just an act of terror but an attack on India’s sovereignty and democratic values. The leaders also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and praised the security personnel who responded to the incident.

Party workers carried banners that read “Pakistan Murdabad,” “Stop Terror Export,” and “Justice for Pahalgam Victims,” demanding immediate international condemnation and isolation of Pakistan for allegedly sheltering and supporting terror outfits.

This protest follows India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and other diplomatic measures taken in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), chaired by the Prime Minister, has already ordered heightened security, visa restrictions on Pakistani nationals, and diplomatic downsizing in both countries’ missions.

The BJP’s protest marks the beginning of a broader political and public movement demanding stronger national security measures and international pressure on Pakistan. More such demonstrations are expected across the country in the coming days.
