The Impressive TimesNew Delhi , 24 September , 2024- As per directions of senior officers, efforts were being made to bring to books, mobile phones robbers, snatchers and thieves.
Informers were sensitized and surveillance was mounted at conspicuous places and supply routes. Quest to perform well saw tireless technical and manual efforts. Every spot of crime was being visited and thorough CCTV coverage was being analysed.
At one such spot of mobile theft, a hazy view of suspect was seen. This was enough for the sleuths to pounce upon & work in order to nab the culprit(s). Beat staff of police station was also sensitised.
BRIEF FACTS:-
On the night of 21.09.2024, at about 11.20 PM, while on area patrolling Ct. Inderjeet No. 1822/DW and Ct. Mintu No. 1369/DW saw two suspicious persons near Sector 14 Dwarka’s Eross Mall. Both were drugged.
They were intercepted and on their cursory search, one Mobile and a knife was recovered from one and from the other, two mobiles were recovered. They were unable to tell about the particulars and ownership of recovered mobiles.
Put to sustained query, they revealed their details as:-
1. Pawan S/o Raju, Age 24 years.
2. Sachin @ Sandy S/o Vir Singh, Age 34 years.
They accepted that the mobiles were stolen ones.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION:-
During interrogation they revealed that both of them had lost their fathers at an early age, mothers are house helps. Pawan is illitrate while Sachin studied upto 6th class. They are jobless & drug addicts. To satiate their urge for drugs, they keep on stealing petty goods and mobiles.
Sometimes when victims resist, they extend threat by knife and don’t hesitate to use it on occasions. They also accepted having committed a robbery at Patel Garden along with their ally Deepak @ Bhola. In that incident, they used knife as victim started shouting and tried to grab one of them.
