The Impressive TimesFaridabad, 22 May, 2024 : Mahendra Pratap Singh, the Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Faridabad constituency and former cabinet minister of Haryana, received tremendous support from the residents of Tiguan and Khadar today. In a significant victory, the people of 84 villages in the Tiguan assembly constituency and Khadar declared their open support in election rallies. Thousands of enthusiastic supporters attended the election rallies organized in villages like Neemka, Mujedi, Mirjapur, Gharonda, Chandpur-Ismailpur, Arua Faizpur, Kaurali, Badraula, and Pehladpur. The atmosphere was electrifying as they were brought to the rally venues in a massive procession, with flower showers adorning the streets along the way.
In the rallies, people resonated with the slogans of Mahendra Pratap and turned the environment in favor of Congress, honoring the former minister with a ceremonial turban to reaffirm their trust. They assured him of securing the highest margin of victory from the Tiguan region to the Lok Sabha.
Prominent figures like Lalit Nagar, former MLA of Tiguan assembly constituency, Congress leaders JP Nagar, Ranbir Chandila, Jagat Nagar, Birpal Chandila, Ved Yadav, Begraj Mahashay, Ram Singh Netaji, and Thajnakur Rajaram were prominently present at the rallies. Additionally, the roadshow organized in Old Faridabad witnessed the enthusiasm of traders and local residents. Business owners extended their support by offering flowers and sweets, while some even donned turbans, symbolizing their endorsement. The roadshow continued in Sector-7, Green Field, and Sarai, where Mahendra Pratap was warmly welcomed with turbans.
Addressing the massive crowds, former minister Chaudhary Mahendra Pratap displayed warmth towards the people, stating, “You belong to me, and I belong to you. You have always supported me, and today, in this fight of justice against injustice, your overwhelming support in this 84 constituency has reinforced my belief. I assure you that once elected as your representative in the Lok Sabha, development and brotherhood will be my top priorities, and I will never allow any harm to come to our region. Because in the past decade, the people here have received nothing but corruption, unemployment, and inflation. While BJP has only worked on a policy of hatred and dividing brother against brother, it’s time for us to show our strength through our votes.”
He continued, “Congress has named its electoral manifesto ‘Nyay Patra’ (Manifesto of Justice). BJP made promises of 15 lakhs and employment guarantees, which turned out to be mere slogans. But the promises we have made to you will be fulfilled once Congress forms the government. When Congress was in power, we focused on development, provided employment to youth, and paid attention to poverty alleviation, working for the welfare of all sections of society. But in the last decade, BJP has indulged in lies and deceit, so it’s time for all of us to unite and show the power of our votes in favor of Congress, driving away the corrupt and the deceivers.”
Former MLA Lalit Nagar and senior leader JP Nagar also appealed to the people in their speeches, urging them to respond to the loot and corruption of the BJP in the past decade with their votes. They openly contrasted the honest image of Congress candidate Babu Mahendra Pratap Singh with the corrupt nature of the BJP candidate, urging everyone to unite and vote for Congress to oust the corrupt and deceitful.
