New Delhi –Keshav Chandra, Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), today distributed raincoats and umbrellas to Safai Karmis (sanitation workers) and Horticulture field’s staff (Mallis) alongwith their Supervisor of the civic body.
This thoughtful initiative aims to ensure that the Capital City’s frontline Sanitation Workers, Horticulture Field Staff and their Supervisor can continue its essential duties safely and comfortably, even during the monsoon season.
The distribution ceremony took place in the New Delhi area at the Roll Call Centre, where Shri Keshav Chandra personally handed over the 2600 raincoats to the Safai Karmis and Horticulture Field Staff. He also distributed the 200 Umbrellas to their Supervisors.The protective gear will enable them to perform their responsibilities without disruption, regardless of weather challenges.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman, NDMC lauded the dedication and hard work of the Safai Karmis and Mallis, highlighting their vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and beauty of the City. He reiterated NDMC’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its employees and providing them with the necessary tools to carry out their duties effectively.
