Rewari: Under the “Mhara Rewari–Swachh Rewari” campaign, urban areas of Rewari district are witnessing a growing culture of cleanliness and healthy surroundings. Residents of Rewari, Dharuhera, and Bawal are actively participating in local cleanliness drives, supported by the district administration under Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhishek Meena’s leadership. The campaign is spreading awareness and inspiring citizens to adopt cleanliness as a way of life. MLA Laxman Singh Yadav has been playing an active role in the campaign, involving citizens in cleanliness drives across Rewari city. On Sunday morning, he joined representatives of social organizations at Ambedkar Chowk and the new Tehsil complex, taking a pledge for cleanliness under “Mhara Rewari–Swachh Rewari” and “I Love Rewari” initiatives. He emphasized that cleanliness is not limited to individuals but extends to homes, streets, offices, and neighborhoods, creating a pleasant and healthy environment for all. MLA Yadav noted that the impact of the campaign is now visible in Rewari, with greater awareness among people. He credited Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership for driving cleanliness campaigns across Haryana, with Rewari emerging as a front-runner in creating a healthy and clean urban environment. He urged people to adopt cleanliness as a lifestyle to ensure good health and, along with his team, participated in removing garbage from roads to motivate citizens to continue the efforts.
DC Abhishek Meena urged government officers and employees to maintain cleanliness not only at home, streets, and neighborhoods but also in their offices. He recalled the recent “Shramdaan Diwas,” when officials beautified office premises, and directed departments to immediately address offices still lacking cleanliness. Department heads have been instructed to remove waste material as per prescribed norms. The ongoing urban cleanliness campaign will run until November in a planned manner. All 31 wards of Rewari, including markets and residential areas, are under nodal officers’ supervision. Dharuhera is monitored by SDM Suresh Kumar, Bawal by SDM Manoj Kumar, and other towns by District Municipal Commissioner Brahm Prakash to ensure effective implementation.
