Faridabad, Sept 28 (Navin Dhamija): Faridabad Literary and Cultural Centre (FLCC) hosted a memorable music program Ek Surili Shaam Mukesh Ke Naam at Jiva Public School, celebrating the evergreen songs of legendary singer Mukesh. Renowned vocalist Mukhtar Shah, hailed as the “Golden Voice of Mukesh” and “Stage King,” captivated the packed auditorium with a stream of Mukesh classics.

His soulful renditions of Jaane Kahan Gaye Woh Din, Dum Dum Diga Diga, Mati Ke Mol, Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan, and many others left the audience spellbound. Singer Anuja Sinha joined Shah in presenting evergreen duets such as Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai, Phool Tumhe Bheja Hai, Sawan Ka Mahina, Humsafar Mere Humsafar, and Main Na Bhoolunga, blending melody with emotion.
Their performances inspired the audience to sing along, filling the hall with rhythmic claps and enthusiastic cheers. A dynamic music designer band added energy with powerful arrangements that set the auditorium vibrating with music and applause.

The evening opened with a documentary on Mukesh’s life and music journey, followed by a Saraswati Vandana and lamp lighting. Program director and noted poet Dinesh Raghuvanshi shared interesting anecdotes about Mukesh’s songs, keeping the audience engaged throughout. Before the concert, FLCC Treasurer Vasu Mitra Satyarthi welcomed Mukhtar Shah and media representatives in an interactive session. Shah discussed his career and praised FLCC’s initiative for organizing his first concert in Faridabad. Anuja Sinha remarked that today’s film songs lack melody and rhythm, which is why they fail to stay in people’s hearts.
FLCC President Naveen Sood, Cultural Secretary Vinod Malik, Chandralata Chauhan, and Surekha Bangia honored the artists with floral tributes, shawls, and mementos. Special guests including former Education Minister Seema Trikha, Dr. Ravi Gugnani, industrialist Shammi Kapoor, and Ajay Juneja were welcomed with bouquets.
Senior Vice President Rishipal Chauhan thanked the singers, guests, and music lovers for making the event a grand success. FLCC office bearers M.L. Nandwani, Jagdeep Maini, V.K. Aggarwal, Ashwani Sethi, and founders Jitender Mann, Sandeep Goel, Shubh Taneja, Harish Arora, Mohinder Sethi, and Rakesh Kukreja, along with a large number of music enthusiasts, attended the soulful evening.
