In a rare reported case, 18-Year-Old Youth with dual infected gallbladders treated successfully at Fortis Escorts Faridabad

Faridabad, 10th April 2025: In a rare reported case, Doctors at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad have successfully treated an 18-year-old young man diagnosed with dual gallbladders and was suffering from acute calculus cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder caused by gallstones). Occurrence of dual gallbladders is a rare congenital condition occurring in approximately 1 in 4,000 individuals. The patient, a resident of Faridabad, had been experiencing repeated abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting for the last three months. He had initially sought medical treatment at a local nursing home in Faridabad but his symptoms persisted.
