The Impressive TimesNew Delhi – The PRO Branch PHQ in collaboration with I4C, IFSO and all 15 districts, today organised a city-wide Public Outreach Programme on Cyber Security and Digital Fraud Awareness, simultaneously in all 15 police districts of Delhi.
The campaign was inaugurated by Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police Delhi at PHQ in the presence of Anil Shukla, Spl. CP/PMMC, Rajneesh Gupta, Jt. CP/IFSO, Sanjay Tyagi, Addl. CP/PRO and Vineet Kumar, DCP/IFSO.
To promote the campaign, the CP Delhi also unveiled the campaign mascot ‘Cyber Rakshak’.
The aim of the campaign was to bring together citizens in the fight against cybercrime and digital vulnerabilities. It emphasized educating citizens about the importance of protecting themselves against the possible cyber threat and to create a safer and more secure online environment.
The core idea behind the campaign was to communicate the message to a large number of audiences through a coordinated campaign. The campaign was held in coordination with the District DCsP of all 15 districts and DCP/IFSO. Nodal officers from PRO coordinated the campaign activities under the supervision of Ranjay Atrishya, ACP/APRO. Expert staff from I4C & IFSO, remained present at the venues to address the cyber safety related queries of the public.
During the campaign, awareness messages to spread awareness on cyber safety were conveyed through various activities including:
▪️Engaging Nukkad Nataks on Digital Scams
▪️Display of Short Films on large screens and Live Demos on Phishing, OTP & Loan Scams, Sextortion, Fake Job & KYC Frauds, Digital Arrest Frauds
▪️Spreading awareness message through Jansampark Vahan of Delhi Police Public Relation Office.
▪️Distribution of informative material for public awareness and one-on-one interaction
