Established under Act 21 of 2022 and notified on 25 April 2022, Sports University of Haryana has achieved significant growth in a short period. Since the commencement of its first academic session on 15 September 2023 and its relocation to the Rai campus, Sonipat, the University has secured UGC affiliation, AIU membership, and NIS Patiala (SAI) equivalency. SUOH currently offers 28 specialised academic programmes with a total enrolment of 784 students, making it the third largest university in Haryana in terms of student strength in India.
