Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a mega ‘Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Mahila Sashaktikaran Sammelan’ at Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal on March 31 to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. Around two lakh women from all over the state will take part in the event, which will be women-centric and aimed at celebrating the empowerment of women.
The Prime Minister will also give several gifts to the people of the state in the form of developmental projects that will fructify on land, in water and in air. The Prime Minister will virtually perform the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Ghats on the Kshipra River which will attended by the saint community. He will also dedicate the Indore Metro to the people and inaugurate two new airports at Datia and Satna – all virtually. Ministers and local people’s representatives will attend these functions. The inaugural flights from the new airports will be operated by women pilots. The Prime Minister will also release a special commemorative postage stamp and coin dedicated to Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar on the occasion.
All arrangements for the event will be handled by women. They will take care of security and will also conduct the function. Only women would welcome the Prime Minister.
A mega exhibition focused on Devi Ahilyabai’s heritage, state government’s initiatives for women empowerment and skill development will also form part of the event. The Prime Minister will also hold a road show in the city.
