Kharge Emphasizes Need for “Unbiased Journalism” on Hindi Journalism Day

New Delhi, May 30: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday extended greetings on Hindi Journalism Day, calling for a commitment to “unbiased journalism” in today’s media landscape.

In a video message, Kharge underlined the significance of the day, recalling that on May 30, 1826, the first Hindi newspaper Udant Martand was published from Calcutta (now Kolkata).

“Today is Hindi Journalism Day. On May 30, 1826, the first Hindi newspaper Udant Martand was published from Calcutta,” he said.

Offering his wishes to media professionals, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha added, “I congratulate all media friends on this occasion and urge them to pursue journalism without bias.”
