New Delhi : As part of India’s intensified global diplomatic campaign to expose Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, the third multi-party parliamentary delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, arrived in Moscow today. The campaign involves seven such delegations simultaneously visiting different parts of the world to galvanize international opinion against terrorism emanating from Pakistan.
Speaking to the media upon arrival, Kanimozhi highlighted the historical and strategic partnership between India and Russia. She emphasized that in light of repeated terror attacks on Indian soil, it is critical for India to deepen strategic dialogue with longstanding allies like Russia. “Russia has always stood by India on global forums, and both countries have worked closely on diplomatic and trade issues. It is important that we engage with Russia at a time when terrorism continues to threaten global peace,” she stated.
Following the Moscow leg, the Kanimozhi-led delegation is scheduled to visit Spain, Greece, Slovenia, and Latvia, engaging with government officials, diplomats, and think tanks to reinforce India’s narrative on counterterrorism and regional security.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan, another multi-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha held a series of high-level diplomatic interactions with ambassadors and diplomats from Brazil, Australia, Colombia, Greece, and South Korea. During the discussions, Jha strongly asserted that most global terror activities have links to Pakistan. “This has become the new normal, and India will not remain silent. If anything happens to Indian citizens, there will be a strong response,” he said.
The delegation also met Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, who offered heartfelt condolences for the recent Pahalgam terror attack and reaffirmed Japan’s support for India in the global fight against terrorism. The Japanese leadership, including former Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and Chairman of the National Security Committee Takashi Endo, also expressed solidarity with India.
In a parallel diplomatic initiative, a third high-level delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde reached Abu Dhabi, the UAE being the first destination in their four-nation itinerary. The delegation engaged with UAE officials and media representatives, stressing India’s unwavering zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.
