NEW DELHI: 11 APRIL 2025: Shri Pushpesh Raman Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager Delhi Division today interacted with Sahayak (coolies) at New Delhi railway station to address their concerns. Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager/Passenger Services , Station Director, New Delhi and other officers of Delhi Division were also present.
The interaction aimed to strengthen the bond between the Railway Administration and the Sahayaks, who play a vital role in the smooth functioning of the railway station. DRM listened to their suggestions and assured them of the Railway’s commitment to their welfare. DRM discussed various welfare initiatives, including improvement in facilities at their rest places.
Shri Pushpesh Raman Tripathi, DRM said that the interaction with Sahayaks is an essential part of Railways’ efforts to improve their working conditions and overall well-being. He further said that Sahayaks have a major role to play as they are at front line of contact with the passengers at the station and they should strive to create an atmosphere of trust with the passengers. He further said that the Sahayaks would be imparted First Aid Training which would benefit the passengers at the railway station as well as be useful to the Sahayaks in their daily
