Uttar Pradesh to Achieve Self-Reliance Through Youth Power: CM Yogi

Gonda, March 20,2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the state’s commitment to youth empowerment and self-reliance, stating that young people, when given the right opportunities, can drive the state towards economic growth.

At an event in Gonda, CM Yogi distributed loans worth ₹55 crore to 1,423 young entrepreneurs from the Devipatan division under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (M-YUVA). He highlighted that the double-engine government is committed to supporting young entrepreneurs, ensuring financial independence, and boosting economic growth.

Major Announcements & Highlights:

  • Youth Empowerment & Loan Distribution:

    • Over 3 lakh youth registered under M-YUVA, with 32,700+ loan approvals so far.
    • Special three-day fairs (March 25-27) in every district to connect more youth with the scheme.
    • Initial loan up to ₹5 lakh, with an increased limit of ₹10 lakh in the next phase.
    • CM urged youth to undergo loan management training for entrepreneurial succes

  • Strict Stand Against Corruption:

    • CM Yogi reaffirmed zero tolerance for corruption, warning against fraud in loan approvals.
    • Encouraged youth to report bribes and fraud through Single Window System & Nivesh Sarathi.
    • Assured strict action against corrupt officials, ensuring transparency in government services.
  • Women Empowerment in Government Jobs:

    • UP now reserves 20% of jobs for women in every recruitment process.
    • 12,000 women recruited in the recent police force hiring of 60,244 personnel.
    • 25,000+ women recruited out of 1.56 lakh government jobs since 2017.
  • Uttar Pradesh’s Economic Growth:

    • UP has transitioned from a ‘BIMARU’ state to India’s second-largest economy.
    • Leads in food grain, sugarcane, ethanol production, and MSMEs.
    • ODOP & Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana benefiting artisans and craftsmen.
  • Impact of Mahakumbh 2025:

    • Created new corridors for faith and livelihood, boosting tourism and self-employment.
    • Connected Prayagraj, Vindhyavasini Dham, Kashi, Ayodhya, Devipatan, Gorakhpur, Mathura, and more.
  • Development in Gonda:

    • Improved road connectivity reduced travel time from Gonda to Lucknow (1.75 hrs) and Gonda to Devipatan Temple (45 mins).
    • Approval of a bypass road, medical college, agriculture college, and engineering college.
    • City cleanliness improved, making Gonda more livable and attractive for tourists.

CM Yogi reiterated that youth, women, and entrepreneurs are key drivers of development, and Uttar Pradesh is on its way to becoming India’s leading economy.

The event saw the presence of Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan, MP Karan Bhushan Singh, MLAs Vinay Kumar Dwivedi, Ramapit Shastri, Bawan Singh, and other dignitaries.
