New Delhi, february,28 : “Singing the song ‘Maro Deva Maro Deva Sewalal Maro Bapu Sewalal’ and gaining popularity among the Banjara community fills me with immense happiness,” expressed social worker and singer Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis*.
Speaking after receiving the *Banjara Kalaratna Award* at the *286th birth anniversary celebration of Sant Sewalal* at the *Ambedkar International Center in New Delhi on February 28, she said, “If the Maha Kumbh Mela is a grand celebration in Prayagraj, then here in Delhi, the Banjara community’s gathering is no less than a grand festival. Receiving this prestigious award is a matter of pride for me. Even though I had limited knowledge about the Banjara community earlier, I thoroughly researched before singing this song. With the blessings of **Sant Sewalal, the song has touched the hearts of Banjaras across the country, which makes me very happy. I feel blessed that my soul is filled with devotion to **Sant Sewalal*. His love for nature and humanity has inspired me, and I am grateful that the Banjara community has embraced me as their daughter through this song. I take pride in the legacy of this brave community, which fought against the Mughals.”
Later, responding to public demand, *Amruta Fadnavis* performed the song Maro Deva Yaaro Deva Sewalal Maro Bapu Sewalal once again, mesmerizing the audience. Prior to the event, she also joined a *Lambani dance troupe, dancing alongside them and energizing the gathering. Throughout the event, **Amruta Fadnavis* stole the spotlight and enhanced the grandeur of the program.
