Chandigarh, November 16: Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal today said that Punjab has emerged as a role model for the country by giving government jobs to the youth in each of its villages.

Addressing the function of handing over appointment letters to 1205 constables in the Punjab Police, the former Chief Minister of Delhi said that since March, 2022, the state government has given more than 48,000 jobs to the youth in a fair and transparent manner without any recommendation or bribe. are provided He said that at least one government employee has now been appointed in every village of Punjab due to this comprehensive campaign to give government jobs, which is a matter of pride and satisfaction for all of us. Exhorting the newly appointed police personnel to perform their duties with integrity and dedication, the former Delhi Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that you are becoming part of the most disciplined and excellent Punjab Police in the country. . He said that since the Aam Aadmi Party came to power in Punjab, our mission has been to bring stability to the state, keep the youth away from drugs and create better employment opportunities for them and we are fully committed to achieving these goals. Arvind Kejriwal congratulated 1,205 candidates who got appointment letters today out of 1,746 newly recruited constables in Punjab Police and wished them all the best for the future. The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that in some districts due to the election code and some other reasons, the remaining appointment letters could not be issued yet but they will be issued soon. He said that creating meaningful employment opportunities for our youth is a top priority and the Punjab government is committed to recruiting talented youth in various positions. Arvind Kejriwal said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that all the jobs have been given in a fair and transparent manner without any recommendation.

The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that when his party took office, law and order was in complete disarray in Punjab as it was dominated by gangsters and other anti-social elements. He said that due to the hard efforts of the AAP government, the law and order situation in Punjab is now the best in the country. Arvind Kejriwal said, “Earlier the situation was deteriorating but now the situation has changed. The atmosphere of Punjab is moving in a positive direction, due to which Punjab is progressing rapidly.”

The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that Punjab will emerge as a role model in providing better law and order in the state for which a planned model will be presented soon. He said that security of its citizens is the highest priority of any government and we are committed to it. Arvind Kejriwal said that Punjab Police has been equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology to protect the interests of the people.

The former Chief Minister of Delhi said that the best example for improving the law and order situation in the state is that the investment of more than 60,000 crore rupees has been brought by the state government. He said that more than three lakh jobs will be created through this investment, which will boost the progress of the state and the prosperity of the people. Arvind Kejriwal said, “It took 75 years for other political parties to ruin the state, but the AAP government has taken revolutionary steps in the last two and a half years to put it back on the path of progress and it will continue in the future.” Efforts will continue.”

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann urged the youth to work diligently to fulfill the dreams of the country’s martyrs. The Chief Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal is credited with making sectors like health, education, electricity, water and infrastructure the focal point of national politics. He said that these areas are the top five priorities of his government and no stone will be left unturned. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that while other political parties have always promoted the agenda of hatred and division, Mr. Kejriwal has given a new direction to politics with his foresight.

The Chief Minister said that the visionary thinking of Mr. Kejriwal has been implemented by the state government to ensure the welfare of the common man and the progress of the state. He said that apart from the guarantees given to the people of the state during the assembly elections of 2022, the state government has also taken many other pro-people initiatives. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state has seen many such appointment letter distribution ceremonies to recruit youth in various government departments.

The Chief Minister said that this shows the commitment of the state government to ensure the welfare of the youth and open up new employment opportunities for them. Bhagwant Mann said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for him that so far more than 48,000 youth have been selected for these posts on the basis of pure merit. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the newly recruited youth will use their position to help and serve the needy and backward sections of the society. He said that the newly recruited youth should ensure the welfare of maximum number of people so that every section of the society can benefit from it. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that to increase the efficiency of the Punjab Police, the state government has decided to create 10,000 new posts in the force.

The Chief Minister said that this decision will help in curbing crime on the one hand and create new jobs for the youth on the other hand. He said that Punjab Police is equipped with the best technology to maintain law and order in the state. He said that the road safety force launched by the state government is running successfully and since its inception, the force has been able to reduce the death rate due to road accidents in the state by about 45 percent.

Earlier DGP of Punjab Gaurav Yadav welcomed the dignitaries during the event while Secretary Home Affairs Gurkirat Kripal Singh thanked everyone.
