The Northern Railway Headquarters, in collaboration with the Life Transformation Academy, is organizing workshop on gender sensitization and empowering women in the workplace. The workshops were conducted from 8th August to 14th August-2024 at Baroda House, New Delhi. This initiative represents a landmark achievement for the Railways, as it is the first of its kind where all female staff at HQ will participate in specialized training over the upcoming weeks. The workshop, aptly named “SHAKTI” (Safe, Happy, And Kind—a Workplace Transformation Initiative), is a celebration of women’s empowerment and resilience. The primary goal of SHAKTI is to guide female staff in exploring the nuanced and often unspoken aspects of their identity within the workplace. Through engaging activities such as role-plays and experience-sharing, participants are encouraged to delve deep into their personal and professional lives. It is carefully structured into four distinct sessions: Poorvaagreh, Vishakha, Karyasthal and Shakti. Each session is designed to foster a safe and supportive environment where women can reflect on their roles, express themselves, and build a stronger sense of self-awareness and confidence This initiative not only aims to create a positive and inclusive workplace but also celebrates the strength and resilience of women, empowering them to thrive both personally and professionally.
Northern Railway is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, and this workshop is a testament to their dedication to creating a supportive and empowering environment for all employees.
