Faridabad, 05 August 2024: This Sunday the Group of Nalanda Schools celebrated their 47th foundation day at its Sector 7D branch. The celebration of foundation day of the institution, run by Shri Brahman Sabha sector-7, carried the special flavour of national integration and Sanatan culture. One the one hand the school students recited Shlokas from Geeta in Sanskrit displaying the strength of our ancient culture, while on the other a group of students performed Hawan live on the stage itself, that too without the help of any teacher or Pandit. Added to the flavour of strength of Sanatan and unity of the country was the recital of Shabad from Guru Granth Sahib by the group of students. On the occasion the students also sung the favorite Bhajan of Mahatma Gandhi with its original wordings “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram…”. The fragrance of national pride was also displayed at the end of the program when the national anthem was played. The national anthem that played was the one that was sung by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose along with his Azad Hind Fauj that starts with “Sab Sukh Chain Ki Barkha Barse, Bharat Bhagya hai Jaaga……”.
The program was graced by the presence of political persons from different parties that suggested the indifferent approach of the institution towards politics but is inclined towards people that work for the welfare of the society. On the one hand MLA from Congress party Neeraj Sharma graced the occasion, while on the other former MLA from Prithla that supported Bhartiya Janta Party Pandit Tek Chand Sharma also shared the stage.
While congress leader Renu Chauhan Vashishth was present in the program to be part of this grand celebration, Rajendra Sharma the leader of Aam Aadmi party also ensured to be the part of celebration. The institution made it a point to honour the founders of the institution 47 years back out of which some were honoured posthumously, the honors being accepted by their family members while others were called on stage to honour.
As a special gesture the institute honoured former state poet late P.D. Kashyap for his contribution to the society. The honour was accepted by his son, well known photo journalist Rakesh Kashyap and his family. As a unique gesture in line with the vision of professor V.K. Sharma, chairman, people that have been associated with the institution as a principal in past were also honoured. Outstand teachers, including Uma Virmani, principal Nalanda School sector-8, R.R. Mishra principal Sector7D branch and some of the teachers were among the recipients of honour. Though Chairman Prof V.K. Sharma could not be a part of the celebration due to some unavoidable circumstances, his vision was very much evident all through the program.
Speaking on the occasion, mentor P.C. Masta said that it has been a great journey of so many years that the institution has been the witness. Starting from strength of 18 students we have more than 1000 students now and still adding up. He accredited the progress to the vision and hard work of Prof V. K. Sharma in his last two consecutive terms. He said that though he himself has been the chairman of the institution in two terms, none of the preceding officials, including himself, has performed so well as V.K. Sharma and his executive has done. One of the reason, he said behind this excellent performance can be that professor Sharma has a background of an educationist and knows how to run the educational institution, a quality that none of his predecessors carried. However, he also praised the hard work and sincerity of V.K. Sharma towards the well- being of the institution.
People that have proved to be the pillars of strength for Shri Brahman Sabha sector 7 and Nalanda group of institutions, all through these two tenures of Prof V.K.
