New Delhi , 5 July , 2024 : A meeting was held at Bihar Bhawan, Samir Pandey, the first Indian-origin Mayor of Australia and Councillor of Parramatta Ward, engaged in an in-depth discussion with Resident Commissioner Kundan Kumar. The focus of the meeting was on enhancing Bihar’s branding, bonding, and exploring business opportunities. Additionally, Samir Pandey was introduced to the state’s exquisite traditional art and craft at the Biharika Kiosk. The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen Bihar’s development and its global identity. Renowned for his insight and leadership, Samir Pandey, an IT expert and entrepreneur, moved to Australia approximately twenty years ago. Initially arriving as an engineer, he is now a member of the Labour Party and has contested the Assembly elections, narrowly missing out on a win. He first won the councilor election in 2017 and was re-elected in 2022. In the same year, Pandey was also elected as the Deputy Mayor of the council. During the meeting, he shared his thoughts on various aspects of Bihar’s growth. He deliberated on strategies to elevate Bihar’s branding on a global scale and provided valuable suggestions for promoting Bihar’s products in international markets. Kundan Kumar highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Bihar, its tourist destinations, and the potential of various industries within the state.
It was decided that further collaboration between both parties would be encouraged to promote Bihar’s cultural heritage and business prospects. Samir Pandey emphasized the vast potential Bihar holds and the essential steps required to steer it in the right direction. He stated, “To strengthen Bihar’s branding and bonding, it is crucial to coordinate efforts at both local and international levels. Additionally, we need to develop a robust strategy to introduce Bihar’s products to the global market.” This significant meeting between Bihar Bhawan and Parramatta Ward laid the foundation for a promising future and took essential steps toward elevating Bihar to new heights.
