Finland President Alexander Stubb Visits India: Trade, Innovation & Tech Partnerships on Agenda

New Delhi, March 4:: Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, has arrived in India for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, innovation, and advanced technologies. The Finnish leader is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes ministers, senior officials, and business representatives.

During the visit, President Stubb will hold key discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The talks are expected to focus on expanding economic ties and could lead to the signing of several agreements designed to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors.

Global developments, including the situation in West Asia, are also likely to be discussed during the bilateral meeting.

President Stubb will participate in India’s prominent geopolitical forum, the Raisina Dialogue, where he is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the opening session in New Delhi.

On arrival at the Palam Air Force Station, the Finnish President was welcomed by India’s Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. Officials highlighted that India and Finland share cordial relations built on democratic values and expanding economic engagement.

The visit comes shortly after Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo travelled to India to attend the AI Impact Summit, reflecting the increasing interaction between the two nations.

During his stay, President Stubb will also meet Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan.

Later in the trip, he will travel to Mumbai to engage with business leaders and explore opportunities for economic collaboration before concluding his visit on March 7
