Chhattisgarh Power Company team clinches 3 medals at 47th All India Electricity Sports Control Board Cricket & Bridge Tournaments

Silver in Masters Pair, Bronze in Team and Progressive Categories; CMD Dr. Rohit Yadav and other officials extend congratulations

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh State Power Company team made a mark at 47th All India Electricity Sports Control Board Cricket & Bridge Tournaments by winning three prestigious medals. Held in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, from July 22 to 23, the national-level two-day tournament saw spirited participation from power sector employees across the country. The team from Chhattisgarh showcased stellar performances across all three categories securing a silver medal in the Masters Pair category, and bronze medals in both the Team Event and Progressive categories. Acknowledging the team’s exceptional performance, Dr. Rohit Yadav, Chairman (Distribution & Generation) of Chhattisgarh Power Company, congratulated the players for bringing laurels to the organization at the national level. Senior officials from the Central Sports and Cultural Council of Chhattisgarh Power Company, including Chairman and Managing Director (Generation) S.K. Katiyar and General Secretary M.S. Chauhan, also extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the team.

The participating members included Dewalal Sahu, Pankaj Chaudhary, Amit Dewangan, Shivesh Mishra, Dinesh Kumar Dewangan, and Harish Kumar Chauhan. Team Captain and Coach Pankaj Chaudhary credited the victory to the support from company management and the Central Sports and Cultural Council. The team was managed by Prashant Kumar Oraon.
