New Delhi, March 3, 2026: Marking World Wildlife Day, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, appealed to the people of the country to renew their commitment towards safeguarding India’s rich biodiversity and natural heritage.
In a message shared on social media platform X, Shah highlighted that India’s civilizational values have long promoted coexistence with nature. He emphasized that every species—whether iconic wildlife like the tiger or lesser-known organisms—plays a vital role in maintaining ecological stability.
The Home Minister underlined that the observance of World Wildlife Day serves as an important reminder of the collective responsibility to conserve forests, protect endangered species, and maintain ecological balance. He noted that sustained public awareness and participation are essential to ensure that future generations inherit a thriving natural environment.
Reiterating the government’s focus on environmental conservation, Amit Shah called for continued efforts to preserve the country’s wildlife and strengthen initiatives aimed at protecting habitats across the nation.
