Greater Noida: In a major boost to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) to Neenjas Electric for allotment of a 20,000 square metre plot in Sector 8D. The strategically located site will serve as the company’s key expansion hub for advanced EV technology and renewable energy storage solutions. Under the expansion project, Neenjas Electric will focus on large-scale manufacturing of onboard EV chargers and solar power banks, addressing a critical gap in the domestic supply chain of high-capacity power electronics.

The official LOI was handed over by YEIDA Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh to Neenjas Electric Managing Director Vineet Gupta. YEIDA ACEO Shailendra Bhatia and senior officials from Neenjas Electric were also present on the occasion. The Sector 8D allotment is a significant milestone for Neenjas Electric. At the 20,000 sq metre facility, the company will develop world-class onboard chargers suited to Indian conditions and advanced solar power bank systems aligned with India’s green energy policy, aimed at enhancing energy self-reliance for consumers. Located near the upcoming Noida International Airport, Sector 8D lies at the heart of a rapidly emerging EV cluster, offering superior logistics and connectivity. The unit will specialize in high IP-rated onboard chargers for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), along with next-generation solar power bank systems. The project is expected to generate local employment and further strengthen Greater Noida’s position as a global manufacturing hub for green technology. Under the leadership of YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, the Yamuna Expressway region is being actively developed as a major destination for the EV industry. Neenjas Electric is set to invest approximately Rs.169 crore in the project, creating significant employment opportunities in the region.
